Michelle L. Hughes, M.D., FACOG
 
Dr. Hughes is a board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist with a medical interest in operative laparoscopy and high-risk pregnancy.  She is a graduate of Brown University in Providence, RI, and completed an internship and residency at Stamford Hospital in Stamford, CT.  She is co-investigator for the Women’s Health initiative study being conducted at Charlton and a Member of MMS, ACOG, AMWA, and Physicians for Social Responsibility.
 
Constance M. Gillett, RN, WHNP
 
Ms. Gillett earned a master’s degree from Boston College in Women’s Health and her BA from UMass Dartmouth.  She is a certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner, as well as a certified Nurse Colposcopist (colposcopy is a procedure done for the evaluation and treatment of an abnormal pap smear).  From 1985-1987 she was the head of the Birthing Center at Women and Infants Hospital in RI.  Professional interests include adolescent health, mid-life issues, and vaginitis
 
Kathleen G. Larsen, LPN
 
Ms. Larsen is a Licensed Practical Nurse with over thirty years’ experience working in women’s health care.  After graduating from the LPN program at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford, CT, she began her career in OB/GYN nursing.  She is a Nurse Educator for our newly pregnant patients, a Breastfeeding Advocate, a Rape Crisis Counselor and a Hospice volunteer.  She is also the triage nurse for all of the problem phone calls that come into our office.

Christina L. Corvo, MMSc, PA-C
 
Ms. Corvo is a Physician Assistant who received her Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Assumption College and her Masters of Medical Science in Physician Associate Studies from the Yale School of Medicine.  Before joining Southcoast Woman’s Care, Christina worked at Bridgeport Hospital in Bridgeport, CT for four years where she provided comprehensive obstetrical and gynecological care, including office procedures and deliveries.  She is a member of ACOG and APAOG and is fluent in Portuguese and proficient in Spanish.
